Mike L. Dodson's original, mixed media, decor art pieces feature motifs "Of Delaware" that Mike find's particularly beautiful and inspiring, from American antiques to Zwannendael, the 1630, Dutch settlement in southern De. He first creates a collaged original then re collages and prints the images on decorator fabrics, hand paints embellishments and presents them in recycled, old frames he finds at flea markets and yard/garage sales.

Below: Parisian Painted Posies is composed of images of  detail sections of a hand painted porcelain plate from France owned by Delaware's own, world reknown  Winterthur museum of decorative arts. Transfer printed onto a blue toille cotton fabric and touched with gold highlights and just the right amount of sparkle.
